Our surrogacy story began few years ago when my partner Steven and I decided to start a family through surrogacy in the US. In September 2012 our dreams came true and our twins were born.
Throughout our "journey" I felt daunted by the multiple decisions that needed to be made at each step of the way. Daunted not by the decision itself but because I didn't know what the downstream implications of that decision would be. I researched multiple different places, online forums, books, website. I was basically searching online for a single source of information on surrogacy that would give me more information on each step of the process but could not find one.
I wanted this one place to go to so that I could make informed decisions that were best for me at that specific time of my journey. The fact that I couldn't find one turned out to be the major impetus behind me writing a book on the steps that we took in order to create our family.
This website and my book are from both a UK perspective and that for a gay dad but the reality is that if one of the steps doesn't apply, then skip to the next..... I hope you find this website and my book useful.
